Practical questions
Dissolving facial filler: questions before a reversal
Dissolving is not a guaranteed reset button. If you dislike a result or have a complication, first establish what was injected and what problem the clinician proposes to treat.
General information for adults. Not a substitute for medical assessment.

Separate appearance concerns from medical problems
Tell the clinician whether your concern is size, shape, a persistent lump, pain or another symptom. These are different reasons for seeking help and may lead to different assessments. Bring dates, product names and records of any previous dissolving. If the material is unknown, say so rather than guessing from an advertisement or the name you remember. The plan should reflect that uncertainty, not conceal it behind a simple “start again” promise.

Ask what removal can and cannot do
The FDA explains that reducing or removing filler may require additional procedures with their own risks, and some materials can be difficult or impossible to remove. Ask whether the proposed approach is appropriate for the identified product, what uncertainty remains and what changes would count as success. Request a clear explanation of potential adverse effects and alternatives, including monitoring when clinically appropriate. Do not buy or inject a reversal product yourself.

Agree a review before discussing refilling
Ask when the treated area should be reassessed and who will review an unexpected change. Do not tie refilling to a wedding, holiday or a fixed deadline borrowed from someone else’s experience. A second opinion can be useful if the reason for removal remains unclear or you feel pressured to book a sequence of procedures. Keep a written summary of the explanation, proposed steps and how to contact the team if concerns develop.
Common questions
Can every filler be dissolved?
No. Removal options depend on the material and clinical situation; a universal reversal promise is misleading.
Will I look exactly as I did years ago?
That cannot be guaranteed. Discuss realistic goals and what removal cannot establish or restore.
Can an online timeline tell me when to refill?
No. Your clinician should reassess the area and the reason for any further procedure.
Sources and information limits
Sources support general medical principles, not the UAE booking policies or service availability. Confirm instructions and local arrangements with the care provider. The update date does not claim clinician review.

Questions before arranging an appointment?
Enquire about the next steps and availability. An enquiry does not confirm a booking or diagnosis and is not an emergency service.
